P&M was founded in 2008 by Stephen Pokorny and Spencer Marks. The firm’s vision and founding principle is maintaining a small compact platform on which to integrate extensive experience, specific knowledge and legal expertise, will encourage practical and efficient team work, discourage typical over staffing and waste, and deliver cost-effective premier legal services to our clients.

Steve Pokorny was a partner at Laser, Schostok, Kolman & Frank, and later at Laser, Pokorny, Schwartz, Friedman & Economos, P.C., and Spence Marks was a managing partner at Marks, Marks & Kaplan, Ltd.  Both worked their way up from law clerk to senior partner, gaining the respect of colleagues, clients and the judiciary for their high integrity, legal insight and work ethic. Steve and Spence have achieved and maintain Martindale-Hubbell’s “AV” rating (the highest rating for lawyers).
